Welcome
to my digital portfolio. I don't like to beat around the bush so I'll get right to it. The first page is my 'about me' page, no useless 'home page.' You will find everything you need to know about me, what I do and how I do it right here. Aside from the information on this page, I'd like to let my work speak for itself! Shall we continue? View my work.
About Me
I'm 24 and have lived in Dallas most of my life although I have visited many places around the country. I have a very close group of friends who I couldn't live without.
Web design has been a hobby of mine since junior high, when every one had 56k and AOL. I've always done it because I enjoy it. My heart goes into my art (which includes code!) whether it's my own website or yours.
Professionally, I am also an I.T. consultant. When I was 10 or 11, my dad would bring home broken computers (he worked for HP) and I would build one functional PC out of several broken ones. Thus began my journey into computers, the internet and, eventually, web design.
My other hobbies include working on cars, watching National Geographic shows and just about anything electronic and programmable.
What I do
Design starts with concept. I sketch or mentally build a rough draft with the intent of conveying a specific mood or function. Everything I do, starting from the concept stage, is for a reason. Nothing is 'generic.'
I code everything by hand in valid XHTML and CSS to be user-friendly and search engine optimized. I emphasize on usability in the form of intuitive navigation and pleasant content delivery.
I use Photoshop and Illustrator to create imagery. I'm very detail oriented and mildly OCD so every image i make must be high quality, mathematically logical (meaning I don't place objects arbitrarily, it's all specific) and serve it's purpose the best it can.
I HATE jaggies and image artifacts!
